About Echinacea- Cultivation

For maximal germination, stratify seeds first by keeping them moist and in the refrigerator for 7-10 days before planting. After seed is stratified, place seed in a good potting medium and cover lightly. Germinate at room temperature. Outdoors, space plants 8-12" apart. To plant seeds directly outdoors, it is better to plant in the fall or the very early spring in a cold frame.
