haseolus vulgaris. 58 days. There are many who would claim Blue Lake is the best bean in the world. I would not want to be the one who has to prove them wrong. Dark green, 6 inch long beans are borne on a large bush type plant that bears over a long period of time. Excellent, excellent flavor. Appr. 1,500 seeds per pound.

Phaseolus vulgaris. 48 days. Very popular old-time seed that bears big yields of medium green, tender and fiber free, 5-7" long beans. My 80 year old gardening friend, Bill, grows no other bush bean. Excellent full bean flavor. Approx. 1,500 seeds per pound.

Phaseolus vulgaris. 50 days. This is the first green bean I plant every year. I like its tolerance of cold, wet weather and generally get a good crop of green beans a little earlier than about anyone. On the other hand, I do not expect it to do well in the heat and drought of summer. Good yields of 5-6 inch long, tender, medium green pods. Try this one if you just cannot wait for green beans.
