| | | Garlic may be planted in the fall or as early as the soil may be worked in the spring. Plant individual cloves about 2" deep and 4" apart. Keep weed free. Mix lots of well composted organic material with the soil or use generous amounts of commercial fertilizer as garlic is a heavy feeder. Ensure adequate water during dry spells.
